Mount Bierstadt - 14,060 Feet 30" x 40"

Mount Bierstadt is named after the famous 19th century western artist, Albert Bierstadt. The peak is painted here from the south. Wogrin captured this early morning scene just as the sun broke over the shoulder of Epaulet Peak.  Bierstadt can be viewed easily from the Guanella Pass road where one can see the spectacular Sawtooth Ridge that connects Mount Bierstadt to Mount Evans.
